First of all I will say that I have a long head and find it near impossible to get a hat that fits, especially a hunting hat. These hats fit perfectly. Not even close to snug. They are water proof and thinsulate lined. I have never been so happy with a hunting hat. The camo is nice and the snaps are not cheap. They are not a heavy hat but should be just fine. The quality appears to be good too although they are made in China but what isn't. It looks like a case of "you get what you pay for" as they (I bought all 3 patterns") seen very nice. If I have any complaints this will be updated at the end of the season.
