Great quality and arrived days ahead of scheduleI have a larger-than-average dome and, according to Barmah’s sizing charts, the XXL seemed like it was right on the edge — like it might or might not fit. But, since it was a free return, I took a shot and I’m happy to say it fits great. Appears to be well made, with solid stitching and no noticeable defects. If I was hard-pressed to find a nit to pick, the leather feels a little soft and thin, a little flimsy, but it’s called a Squashy Bronco so it’s not like it’s out of line. Not sure how well it’ll hold up over the long term, but for the first week, I’m really impressed.I've got my adventure hat back! This thing is great on all fronts to include driving - I immediately added a drawstring for those "My hat has become a kite!" kind of days. However, I should add that I can comfortably snug it down in the case of a random gust. I have yet to test it in the full heat of summer - but I have faith. My last one was black (and the Aussie design) and met an unfortunate end... This purchase was olive - and that if even that, could be my only point of contention: it's brown. Everyone agrees. But I love it irregardless!I could only make out the first name on the 'made by' card, but well done Amy!Addition: When it hit 108 - I wet down a napkin and rolled ice cubes in it - on the back of my head it went - on with the hat. It helped!I have both hats (American and Australian). I purchased the Australian first in Australia. Loved it!! I had the same issues as other purchasers when I bought the American one on Amazon: The sizing chart does not match the hat. The large here, fits differently than the large from Australia. I measured my head and matched it to the chart for a large from the US, so figured it would be good. Wrong! The hat is a full size to big. The adjustment pieces they send will eventually wear down and the leather on the hat will eventually stretch, leaving me with a hat that is way too big for my liking. Lastly, the leather isn't the same quality as the Australian one. It is either thinner or not as strong: when the hat is sitting on a table, the part that sits on your head collapses in on itself. The Australian one does not. It maintains it's form/shape at all times. I am keeping the hat ONLY because I can't be bothered to go through the return process. Other than that, I rated it as a three because well, it is a hat...which is what I was buying. It's leather, which is what it is supposed to be. The look and feel is mostly what it says it is. Honestly though, buy from the Australian companies. You'll be more pleased with the product you get, even if it's a bit more money and takes a bit longer to get one. I purchased mine at Strand Hatters on George St. in Sydney.DECENT QUALITY FOR $$$This hat is a head turner...I get lots of complimentsGood quality excellent fit.I have had one Barmah hat already and decided to purchase this one. It is a great looking hat. One issue though, is the sizing. My old hat was size L and it fits really small, so I decided (reading some reviews that were pretty much along the same line as mine) to purchase an XL. Guess what, this new one fits too large for a change. It is a bit hard to figure out the exact size. Other than that no complaints, great looking hat, very well made. It is probably recommended that you buy it at the store when you know that it fits right.
