My husband works out in the hot sun all day every day and he uses this to help keep the sun at bay. He loves his hat. He has used various other hats for this purpose and this one is the best he has had. While on vacation in Florida I forgot my sunglasses when we had our beach day and I stole his hat and I have to say it was pretty nice.I am picky and I got a big ass head. Went out on a limb and spent more money than I usually do on a hat and I am obsessed. Got all my friends buying one. I wore it in Jamaica all week and it was a lifesaver.The only complaint was that the badge in the hat was sewn on very crooked … very noticeably. For a hat I paid this price for it would have been nice to. This hat meets all of my expectations! There is a rope that ties under the chin that keeps the hat on in windy conditions & the brim is wide enough to cover the chin and part of your chest! Love it!!!!Bought it as a gift for my dad for fishing. It fits him perfectly and he loves it.This is my 2nd Hemlock hat, they are the best! It will get out of shape if it gets too wet! Laying it flat will help bending/drooping if you get it wet.Has an elastic band inside the hat to help keep secure on your head regardless of your size head. The cloth underside adds more thorough protection from the sun vs a traditional sun hat. Lots of patterns to choose from for your personality. The toggle string is also good for when you are in windy conditions.
