I don’t know my head size so I can’t help anyone in that area. I think the small size is pretty standard. The hat came in a bundle box so I wouldn’t know how the single packaging is; but in my case it arrived just fine, a little flattened but not too crazy and it kept its shape, no permanent flapping.It fits snug but I have another straw fedora and it stretched out so I'm sure with time it will be perfect. Love the look and quality.A little frayed in a small spot on top. Not noticeable unless you're looking closelyGreat hat for the summer and beach vacations.
